Neurodivergent-affirming therapy helps you develop a sense of direction, gain control of your life, improve your mental health, and discover your authentic self.

Growing up told you were lazy, unreliable, "too much," or not smart often leads to internalized shame, regret, and grief. How could you not be sensitive to rejection in an environment like that? You can learn to trust your own judgment again, reframe the stories you've told yourself, and find a more powerful perspective.

The Difference: Priya isn't just a therapist — she's someone with lived experience of neurodivergence, with real compassion and understanding for those trying to make it in a neurotypical world. Her own late ADHD and PTSD diagnosis is why she gets the masking, the exhaustion, and the late-diagnosis grief. Serving community, from within community.

What neurodivergent-affirming therapy is

✓ What it IS

  • Learning there are different ways of being — not right or wrong, just different.
  • Empowerment over shame. Strengths over deficits.
  • Patience with your challenges and fierce compassion for yourself.
  • Therapy that adapts to you — not the other way around.

✕ What it ISN'T

  • It's not about shame, or "fixing" you.
  • Not about learning to mask better or blend in faster.
  • Not about performing neurotypicality more convincingly.
  • Not about being someone you're not.

We meet you where you are

💡

Maybe you just got diagnosed

Looking back on your life, suddenly a lot of things click. The missed deadlines. The shame you couldn't name. So where do you go from here?

🔄

Maybe you've known for years

You've been managing — the coping strategies, the phone alarms, the constant recalibrating. But does it really need to take this much energy?

🌿

Maybe you have no diagnosis at all

Something about neurodivergence resonates deeply. You don't need a label to start — just someone who listens without judgment.

What you can expect

She gets it — because she's lived it

RP(Q) · Neurodivergent-affirming · Trauma-informed

After more than 17 years on the client side of therapy, Priya built HolistiCare around a simple truth: healing has to see the whole person — not one symptom or label. Her own late ADHD and PTSD diagnosis reshaped how she works. You feel it in the first session: welcomed, genuinely heard, and free to stim, fidget, move, or sit in silence. No performing required.

Common questions

Do I need a diagnosis to start?

No. Your lived experience is enough. Many clients come to us while still figuring it out.

Is it too late if I was diagnosed later in life?

It's never too late. Late-diagnosed adults are exactly who this work is for.

What does "neurodivergent-affirming" actually mean?

We don't try to make you fit into systems that weren't built for you. Priya uses evidence-based methods and lived experience with ADHD to meet you where you are. Feel free to stim, fidget, or sit in silence.

Do you offer virtual sessions?

Yes — virtual across Ontario via a secure, PIPEDA-compliant platform. Evenings and weekends available.

What happens in the first session?

Consent, privacy, a brief history — and you leave with one skill. Collaborative, not a medical interview.
